The collection consists of a single letter from Lynn to his father, Joel Lynn of Hartford, Ohio Co., Indiana, written from Camargo, Illinois, 28 February 1863. Most of the letter relates to cattle, but Lynn also mentions that "There is Strong talk of a [military] draft here and also in some parts of the State Strong talk of resistance (which will prove a Humbug)."
